LEGO 10289 – Bird of Paradise Available For Preorder
The new LEGO Bird of Paradise botanical set (10289) is available for preorder in North America. This set has already been released in Europe, but isn’t being released in North America until August 1st.
This set contains 1173 pieces and is a continuation of the excellent LEGO Botanical sets. I really enjoyed building the Flower Bouquet (see our review here) and Bonsai Tree (see our review here) sets that have already come out in this line and can’t wait to add the Bird of Paradise model to our collection and display area!
It is worth noting that the model will be quite sizeable as the tallest leaf limb measures over 18 in. (46 cm) high and the flowerpot measures over 5 in. (13 cm) in diameter. I think the addition of a flowerpot to this build is great both from a display perspective and to see the techniques involved in making such a nice looking base for the model!
