New Brickmania Digital Instructions (8/17)

Brickmania has released two new digital instruction sets for sale on their website. The digital instruction sets they have added this week are the T-14 Armata (designed by Cody Osell) and the Ka-52 Alligator (designed by Daniel Siskind). Both of these models look really impressive, but my personal favorite out of these two is definitely the Ka-52 Alligator!

According to the Wikipedia page for the Ka-52 Alligator it was a “Soviet/Russian single-seat attack helicopter with the distinctive coaxial rotor system of the Kamov design bureau”. Apparently the Ka-52 Alligator was “designed in the 1980s and adopted for service in the Russian Army in 1995” and was “used as a heavily armed scout helicopter”. The designer has really done an excellent job of recreating the coaxial rotor system (a pair of helicopter rotors mounted one above the other on concentric shafts, with the same axis of rotation, but turning in opposite directions) which is one of the most distinctive features of this particular helicopter. Beyond the rotor the other details that really jump out at me are the numerous weapons mounted to the sides of the helicopter, the great looking cockpit area, and the excellent overall shape they have managed to recreate! Brickmania also offers a sticker pack for the Ka-52 Alligator that you can purchase separately from the model instructions (tap here to view it in the Brickmania store) that includes some great additional details.

If you don’t already have these awesome models in your collection it is definitely worth checking them out! In addition to the instructions there are also sticker packs and special parts available for purchase so you can complete these models in all of their glory.
