LEGO IDEAS 21342 – The Insect Collection Coming September 7th (September 4th For VIPs)
LEGO has officially revealed LEGO IDEAS 21342 – The Insect Collection which will be available on September 7, 2023 for everyone, but VIPs get early access starting September 4, 2023. This cool looking set contains 1111 pieces and comes from the approved LEGO IDEAS project by fan designer José María.
The set allows you to build three impressive insects – Blue Morpho Butterfly, Hercules Beetle, and Chinese Mantis! Each insect is fully posable and has its own display base that tells a story about the biome/eco-system where that particular insect lives. I also appreciate the fact that LEGO has chosen to provide separate building instructions for each model so that you can build solo or with others.
Overall this looks to be another excellent addition to the LEGO IDEAS line of sets! I think it is cool that this set is so visually different from the type of models we normally get from LEGO and I’m sure the finished builds will be great display pieces. As I mentioned before this set will be available for everyone starting September 7th, but if you are a LEGO VIP you can get the set in the early access period starting September 4th so it is definitely a good time to become a LEGO VIP if you aren’t already.
