New Brickmania Digital Instructions (3/30)
Brickmania has released three new digital instruction sets for sale on their website. The digital instruction sets they have added this week are the IS-2 Model 1943 (designed by Daniel Siskind), the Bob Semple Tank (designed by Daniel Siskind), and the Jagdtiger (designed by Cody Osell). Brickmania’s tank models are always really amazing and while all three of these models are great the Jagdtiger is my personal favorite.
The Jagdtiger (“Hunting Tiger”) is a German casemate-type heavy tank destroyer from World War II. According to the Wikipedia page for this tank the 71-tonne Jagdtiger was the heaviest armored fighting vehicle (AFV) used operationally by any participant nation of WWII and is the heaviest combat vehicle of any type to achieve series production during the conflict. It apparently only saw brief service in small numbers from late 1944 up until the end of the war on both the Western and Eastern Front. The Jagdtiger suffered from various mobility and mechanical problems due to issues from excessive weight and a significantly underpowered drivetrain system. The designer has done an excellent job with the overall shape and coloring of the model and I also really like the fact that they offer a sticker pack you can purchase separately from the model instructions (tap here to view it in the Brickmania store) that includes some great additional details.
If you don’t already have these awesome models in your collection it is definitely worth checking them out! In addition to the instructions there are also sticker packs and special parts (BrickArms and otherwise) available for purchase so you can complete these models in all of their glory.
