New Brickmania Digital Instructions (4/20)

Brickmania has released two new digital instruction sets for sale on their website. The digital instruction sets they have added this week are the BM-13N Katyusha Rocket Launcher (designed by Yitzy Kasowitz) and the Yak-9 Fighter (designed by Daniel Siskind). Both of these models look great, but my personal favorite is the Yak-9 Fighter.

According to the Wikipedia page for this aircraft the “Yakovlev Yak-9 is a single-engine, single-seat multipurpose fighter aircraft used by the Soviet Union and its allies during World War II and the early Cold War”. Apparently the “Yak-9 started arriving in Soviet fighter regiments in late 1942 and played a major role in retaking air superiority from the Luftwaffe’s new Focke-Wulf Fw 190 and Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighters during the grand Battle of Kursk in summer 1943”. Details that really jump out for me on this model are the great canopy design as well as the texture and surface details around the engine and propeller. Brickmania also offers a sticker pack for the Yak-9 Fighter that you can purchase separately from the model instructions (tap here to view it in the Brickmania store) that includes some great additional details.

If you don’t already have these awesome models in your collection it is definitely worth checking them out! In addition to the instructions there are also sticker packs and special parts (BrickArms and otherwise) available for purchase so you can complete these models in all of their glory.
