New Brickmania Digital Instructions (8/3)

Brickmania has released two new digital instruction sets for sale on their website. The digital instruction sets they have added this week are the PT-76 – Amphibious Tank (designed by Mary Wilson) and the T-26 – Light Tank (designed by Katya Hodgson). Both of these models look really impressive, but my personal favorite out of these two is definitely the T-26 – Light Tank!
According to the Wikipedia page for the T-26 tank it was a “Soviet light tank used during many conflicts of the Interwar period and in World War II”. Apparently the T-26 was a “development of the British Vickers 6-Ton tank and was one of the most successful tank designs of the 1930s until its light armor became vulnerable to newer anti-tank guns”. I also found it interesting that “during the 1930s, the USSR developed 53 variants of the T-26, including flame-throwing tanks, combat engineer vehicles, remotely controlled tanks, self-propelled guns, artillery tractors, and armored carriers”. The designer has really done an excellent job of recreating this tank given its unique appearance. The details that initially jump out for me with this model are all of the surface details on the interior of the tank tread section as well as the interesting turret design with the wraparound bar. Brickmania also offers a sticker pack for the T-26 – Light Tank that you can purchase separately from the model instructions (tap here to view it in the Brickmania store) that includes some great additional details.
If you don’t already have these awesome models in your collection it is definitely worth checking them out! In addition to the instructions there are also sticker packs and special parts available for purchase so you can complete these models in all of their glory.
