New Brickmania Digital Instructions (8/24)

Brickmania has released two new digital instruction sets for sale on their website. The digital instruction sets they have added this week are the BMP-3 (designed by Mary Wilson) and the SU-85 (designed by Yitzy Kasowitz). Both of these models look really impressive, but my personal favorite out of these two is definitely the SU-85!
According to the Wikipedia page for the SU-85 it was a “Soviet self-propelled gun used during World War II, based on the chassis of the T-34 medium tank”. Apparently early Soviet self-propelled guns were meant to serve as either assault guns (SU-122) or as tank destroyers (SU-85). The designer has really done an excellent job of recreating the very distinct shape of the SU-85 which results from the mashup of a tank chassis and the large gun. As one would expect the tank chassis itself looks great in the model and they have done an excellent job of modelling the gun and how it mounts to the body of the vehicle as well! Brickmania also offers a sticker pack for the SU-85 that you can purchase separately from the model instructions (tap here to view it in the Brickmania store) that includes some great additional details.
If you don’t already have these awesome models in your collection it is definitely worth checking them out! In addition to the instructions there are also sticker packs and special parts available for purchase so you can complete these models in all of their glory.
