Music Store Modular Instructions Now Available From Brickative

Brickative has released a new instruction set on their website for an impressive looking LEGO modular called Jollie’s Music Store! This music store modular is an alternate build that requires one copy of LEGO 10308 – Holiday Main Street and 168 additional pieces to complete.
This modular (designed by Lukasz Libuszewski) has a 16×32 stud baseplate footprint and requires 1478 pieces to build. One of the first details that jumps out at me when looking at this modular is the excellent use of plants along the second floor of both buildings. Flower boxes and trailing plants are a great way to add visual interest to a modular building and the designer has used them to great effect here. Another detail that I always enjoy in Brickative instruction sets are the rooftops and how they building transitions into them. Both buildings in this modular have excellent roofs and definitely have a European flavor to them which I appreciate both for the look and how different it is from typical LEGO modular buildings that we see. I am also a big fan of the coloring of both buildings which was largely determined by the original LEGO set they chose for this alternate build, but I feel like they have made excellent use of those colors when creating the structures. Overall I’m very impressed with how well the designer has been able to create a cohesive modular building here that would be an excellent addition to any LEGO City while working within the constraints of using parts that are mostly found in one specific set.
I’m always really impressed with alternate builds of existing sets and this is definitely a great looking one. Overall this latest modular instruction set from Brickative is very impressive and I will definitely be working on building this for our LEGO City!
