New Limited Edition Train Car Preorder Available From Brick Model Railroader
Brick Model Railroader is offering preorders on instructions for a limited edition model commemorating the LGMS LEGO Train Layout being displayed at the 2022 NMRA National Train Show. The limited edition model is the St. Louis Refrigerator Car Co. 36ft Beer Car and it looks awesome!
The product page for this instruction set indicates that “the St. Louis Refrigerator Car Company (SLRX) was a private refrigerator car line established on February 3, 1878, by Anheuser-Busch brewing company”. Apparently SLRX was “formed to facilitate large-scale distribution of Anheuser-Busch’s products via the U.S. rail network” and “not only built its own bunkerless reefers, but maintained and operated them as well”.
According to the Brick Model Railroader store the preorder window for this model will be from May 31, 2022 to Midnight EST July 4, 2022. Once the preorder window closes the instruction kits will be produced for the orders they receive and will then ship out (expected shipping date will be late July to mid August). There is also the option in the Brick Model Railroader store to purchase additional printed parts and decals if you want to make multiples of this train car.
