LEGO Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis EMD SD40T-2 Instructions By jepaz Available On Rebrickable

Rebrickable user jepaz has released a great set of instructions for building a LEGO Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis EMD SD40T-2! This locomotive build requires 1911 parts and looks like it would be a great addition to any LEGO layout. I am a big fan the work that jepaz does and this looks to be a great addition to the list of impressive LEGO instruction sets that he has for sale on Rebrickable.

The coloring of this locomotive looks excellent with the mostly red locomotive body and the white railings/bars around the exterior. The designer has done an excellent job with the shape of the nose of the locomotive and I really appreciate the attention to detail along the top roof line as well as at wheel level around the sides, front, and back. It also appears based on the product listing on the Rebrickable page that the locomotive can be motorized as well.

I was interested to learn from this website that “the Terminal Railroad Association Of St. Louis, also known by its reporting marks as the TRRA, is a switching line that has been in operation since the late 1880s”. Apparently it was originally founded “by a group of railroads to not only switch freight amongst their lines in St. Louis, Missouri and East St. Louis, Illinois (across the Mississippi River) but it also would come to own St. Louis Union Station and switched all trains entering and exiting the terminal”.

Overall this Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis EMD SD40T-2 build looks amazing and I could definitely see this being a great addition to a LEGO City layout as well as a LEGO Train collection in general.
